THE CRAFT THAT HOLDS IT TOGETHER.

Leather Belt and Small Leather Goods Manufacturer in India

Apollo Fashion International (AFIL) is a leather belt and small leather goods manufacturer in India. We produce private label dress and casual belts, wallets, card holders and other small leather goods (SLGs) for fashion brands, retailers and importers, with custom buckles, logo embossing and retail packaging. Production takes place at our Leather Garments & Accessories factory in Noida.

Belts and SLGs are small products where precision shows: edge finish, stitch spacing and how cleanly a card slot opens. They are also the easiest way to extend a brand into leather, so we make it simple to start.

Belt and SLG leathers by grade and finish

Belts need firm, thick leather that resists stretching; SLGs need thinner, finer leather that folds neatly and keeps its shape in a pocket.

Belt straps can be single-ply with a cut and finished edge, or two-ply stitched and lined for a dressier look. Avoid bonded leather for belts that need to last; our guide to full-grain vs top-grain vs genuine leather explains why.

  • Buckles and hardware: stock or custom-developed buckles in brass, zinc alloy or steel, in polished, brushed, antique or plated finishes, with logo engraving

How belt and SLG development works

  1. Brief. Share sketches or reference products, sizes, target price, quantities and delivery date.
  2. Leather and buckles. We propose leathers, edge finishes and buckle options; custom buckles start with a drawing of your design.
  3. Samples. We make samples in your colours with your logo, and refine width, thickness and card-slot fit with you.
  4. Approval. The approved pre-production sample becomes the standard for bulk.
  5. Production and shipment. Cutting, skiving, edge finishing, stitching, assembly, inspection and packing.

The full workflow is on how we work with brands.

Quality checks for belts and SLGs

  • Leather: thickness, firmness and colour checked before cutting, so straps do not stretch or vary in shade.
  • Edges: smooth, even edge paint or burnish with no cracking along the length.
  • Stitching: consistent stitch spacing and secure ends on keepers, card slots and wallet folds.
  • Buckles and hardware: finish, plating and fixing checked; buckles attached securely.
  • Measurements: strap length, width and hole spacing; wallet and card-slot dimensions.
  • Final inspection: appearance, logo placement and packing checked against the approved sample.

Who we make belts and SLGs for

  • Apparel and denim brands adding belts to complete a look
  • Retailers and department stores with private label accessories ranges
  • Gift and lifestyle brands building wallet and travel accessory lines
  • Bag and footwear brands matching SLGs to existing collections

Belts and SLGs are often developed alongside leather bags from the same factory, so colours and finishes match across a collection.

Leather belt manufacturer FAQs

What is the MOQ for private label leather belts and wallets?

MOQ depends on the style, leather and buckle. Stock buckles and stock leather colours allow lower quantities than custom-developed buckles.

Can AFIL make custom logo buckles?

Yes. We can develop custom buckles from your drawing, with your logo cast or engraved, in the metal and finish you choose. Stock buckle designs are a faster route if your timeline is tight.

Which leather is best for a belt?

Full-grain leather, especially vegetable-tanned or pull-up, is the most durable choice because it keeps its strength along the full strap. Top-grain suits dress belts with a refined finish. Bonded leather wears out quickly and is not recommended for belts.

What is the difference between a single-ply and a stitched belt?

A single-ply belt is cut from one thick piece of leather with a finished edge, giving a casual, solid look. A stitched belt bonds and stitches two layers together for a cleaner, dressier finish.

Which small leather goods do you make?

We make bifold, trifold, zip-around and long wallets, card holders, passport covers, key holders, luggage tags and pouches. If you need an item not listed, send a reference and we will confirm whether we can make it.

How long do belt and SLG samples and production take?

Timing depends on whether buckles are custom, the leather and the order size. Custom buckles add development time, so share buckle designs early.
